Just a little bit about me:
I was born and raised in Auburndale, Florida. In 2007 I graduated from Auburndale High School where I was involved in cheerleading, TV production, the Student Government Association, I was a class officer, and a member of the Senior executive board. My senior year I was voted Prom Queen by the student body and, also had the honor of being named Miss AHS; an award voted on by teachers and faculty to represent the head of the 'hall of fame' for my graduating class.
After high school I continued my involvement with two charitable organizations, (The Great American Bake Sale and The American Cancer Society), while simultaneously furthering my education at the University of South Florida in Tampa. While working toward my bachelors degree I had the opportunity to represent the city of Tampa as Miss Tampa USA in the annual Miss Florida USA pageant. As Miss Tampa USA I was able to raise thousands of dollars in a years time that went to after school student enrichment programs. The experience provided several traveling opportunities and I had the good fortune of 'rubbing elbows' with Donald Trump, Maria Menounos, Ken Paves, and the ever unique Jerry Springer (who was actually quite polite and pleasant).
While in college I was also the Auburndale High School Junior Varsity cheerleading coach from 2009-2012. After graduating with my B.A. in English: American Literature in the Fall of 2011, I immediately began taking steps toward become a certified teacher and recieved my certificate in the Spring of 2012! I also recieved a marriage proposal this past Spring and am currently planning a December wedding with my fiance, Brandon Davis (he might even be popping in our classroom as we learn about the circulatory system since he is beginning his sixth year as a Cardiac Invasive Specialist at Morton Plant Hospital in Clearwater). I am so looking forward to all of the fun and interesting subjects we will be studying together this semester; I already know that it will be a great one!
